Having a lightweight and usable object when trying to walk over hot sand is important to me, and this really fits the bill. I pack a small cooler with some frozen sports bottles of water or juice and snacks, throw the essentials in the bag on the back, grab the umbrella and I'm off. (Note: I haven't taken this one to the beach yet but I have taken the SC527 and it was awesome). The bag has nice 5" x 7" flat velcro pocket inside and cell phone holder on the outside with flap/velcro closure The drink holder is perfectly sized for easy sports bottle use Legs lock for safety Approximate bag size: 13" h x 14" w x 5" d - a tad smaller than the SC527 8.3...
