The edge is razor sharp and I especially like the thumb plate. It took a while to get used to quickly deploying the knife since it is so large, but once you get used to it, it's not so hard to do.I think this is a very nice knife, and am glad I didn't get the extra large. I paid well over $300 for mine. Although somewhat expensive, its worth the money. Unlocking the lock is not as difficult as other reviewers state. Blade edge is very sharp out of box. Quick deploy works well out of pocket. I also have the Rajah 1 but the Espada XL wins in looks, sharpness and craftmanship. The blade on the XL is reported at 7.5 inches. The aluminum ends will get scratched easily with carrying it everyday. I have not needed to sharpen it yet. |
