The wrap doesn't appear to be very complex, so don't let that be the only reason that you purchase this knife over the one with the satin finish. It could easily be reproduced yourself with a little 550 cord, patience, and a couple of YouTube videos for reference. The sheath holds the blade very securely and the knife does not fall out even while carrying in an inverted position. The blade on mine came sharp enough to shave hair off my arm; no complaints there. It hides very well while in the sheath for concealed carry. Overall, I would recommend this knife to anyone who is looking to expand their CC options or use as a backup in case a firearm isn't a viable option. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful  For the most part, very happy, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Columbia River Knife and Tool 2030CW Crawford N.E.C.K fixed blade (Tools & Home Improvement) It's a very nice knife. The paracord wrapping on the handle is very well done. It ships sharpened and holds an edge beautifully, and it conceals very nicely when used in conjunction with a merc-harness type device. It will serve the purpose well for which it was acquired.That said, the handle, even with the wrapping, is rather narrow and short. I have fairly large palms and longish fingers, so it may be just me. The multi-function belt/webbing clip is clunky and mostly useless to me for that reason. I used it the first day I had the knife and haven't used it since. The sheath has been permanently relegated to a merc-harness and I am looking at getting a custom leather horizontal sheath made for it when I went to wear the knife on my belt. However, the Belt Holster is actually of quite good quality, and is one of the increasingly popular "American Sportsmen's Products" belt clip. These ASP clips are being provided by a number of knife manufacturers as a less costly and simpler alternative (albeit not as sturdy) to the very high quality TechLok fasteners. |
